I've been busy the last couple of days (explanation shortly), and so missed noting that the Iraqi election reporting collective, sponsored by Spirit of America, is up and running, with Michael Totten taking a break from his regular blogging to edit the reports from Iraqi correspondents.
The site is already reporting the pre-election campaigning in the major urban centers, and will be the place for on-the-ground reports of election day and the results, without MSM spin. Our best wishes and prayers are with the brave Iraqi voters, for their safety and a wise result that will advance their country.
It's also a good time to note that the Arabic blogging site is also up and accepting users. Won't do you too much good unless you happen to read Arabic, which is one reason I've been banging on about machine translation for a while.
Update: Those following the multilingual thread here might want to read Janice Abrahams' comment at Winds of Change re the flow of posts from the Arabic site into the translated, parallel English texts that Totten is posting.
