A liberal war

Here's a great suggestion of how a loyal opposition could get back on the right side of its liberal heritage, improve its election chances, and benefit the country and civilization to boot. Of course, it would require the Democratic Party to (re)grow a brain, a spine, and gonads. Right now it seems possessed only of a hypertrophied spleen. But one can hope.
